An exclusive opportunity to time travel through following the stories of Himalayan Explorers
Our Heritage Expeditions follow the footsteps of an early Himalayan explorer. Back then, there were no roads. Reaching the base of the mountain needed to be done on foot. Nepal was largely cut off from the world with mostly closed borders, and English was not widely spoken like it is now. Our Heritage Expeditions aim to follow the spirit of adventure these early explorers had, trying to understand their experiences in a vastly different time.
On our journey, we will also discover the local culture, cuisines, traditions, and indigenous way of life. We will explore how these aspects shaped the experience of early Himalayan explorer.
We offer experiences that allow you to relive Edmund Hillary’s trek to Everest, Maurice Herzog’s reconnaissance of the Annapurna, Elizabeth Starks first-ever female-led mountaineering expedition in the Himalayas, and Chris Bonnington’s famous South face of Annapurna climb.
We will also consider the locals who supported the early expeditions - like Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and Ang Tharkay Sherpa. What would they have felt, as they walked towards the mountains they considered gods?
